Nigerian musician and producer, Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has officially announced his departure from his long-time manager, Efe Omorogbe, CEO of Now Muzik, marking the end of their fruitful 20-year partnership.
The mutual disengagement was revealed by both parties, emphasizing that the split takes immediate effect.
Omorogbe, expressing gratitude and fondness for their enduring collaboration, took to Now Muzik’s Instagram handle to acknowledge the trust and friendship shared with 2Baba over the years.
He described their bond as extending beyond professional ties, lauding 2Baba as one of Nigeria’s greatest musicians.Reflecting on their journey together, Omorogbe highlighted the pride in the brands they built and the music they created, alongside the joy of entertaining fans. 2Baba’s association with Now Muzik began in 2004, following his departure from The Plantashun Boiz, as he sought to explore new opportunities with Kennis Music. Under Now Muzik’s management, he flourished, releasing eight albums, performing in numerous cities, and amassing a staggering 400 million streams across various platforms, accompanied by over 60 awards.
