Seven-time NPFL champions, Enugu Rangers, clinched a crucial 2-0 away victory against Niger Tornadoes, with their general manager and chief executive officer, Amobi Ezeaku, making his professional debut for the Flying Antelopes in the league.

The match took place at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Sunday, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra.Ezeaku, whose inclusion in the match-day squad sparked interest before kick-off, entered the game in the second half, following goals from Chidiebere Nwobodo and Godwin Obaje in the first half.

Nwobodo opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, swiftly followed by Obaje doubling the advantage in the 25th minute. This victory marks five consecutive wins and clean sheets for the former champions.In other NPFL matches, Lobi Stars reclaimed the top spot on the table with 42 points after securing a 2-0 win over Katsina United.

Plateau United also narrowed the gap to just one point, defeating Bendel Insurance 2-0.The action continues on Monday with a thrilling clash between struggling Akwa United and Enyimba in Uyo. Meanwhile, Kano Pillars are set to host Abia Warriors at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
