Francis Inegbeniki, the Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has tendered his resignation ahead of the September 21 governorship election.
In a letter dated June 8, 2024, Inegbeniki cited conflicts with his core principles and values due to recent developments in the party at the local and state levels.
With 25 years of service to the party, he expressed gratitude for his contributions to the party’s growth but felt compelled to reevaluate his political future.
After consulting with his family, friends, and political associates, he resigned as state vice chairman and member of the APC, wishing his former party members well.
Though he did not disclose his future political plans, he reaffirmed his belief in Nigeria’s future and the Renewed Hope agenda.
