In a bid to restore the peace and dignity of the Igbo Nation, the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) has embarked on a comprehensive outreach program targeting Igbo communities in Benue State.
According to MOBIN, the initiative aims to reconnect with Igbo people in their ancestral homeland, who have been living in Benue State for centuries.
The identified Igbo communities in Benue State include Ado, Oju, Obi, and Okpoku, with a significant presence in Umuezeokoha, Umuezeoka, Oriuzor, Umuoghara, Amaekka, and Amaezekwe, all in Ezza communities, as well as Izzi, Ezzamgbo, and Effiu.
MOBIN reports that the people of Umuezeokoha alone have over 600 villages, and the region is home to three of the largest markets in Benue State, including Inikiri Ichari, Iddah, and Iduokpe. Additionally, there are Igbo-speaking Idoma towns in Benue State.
MOBIN believes that the time has come for the revival and restoration of the lost Igbo glory, under the protection of their great God.
The organization is calling on all Igbo people to join the movement, which aims to restore the peace and dignity of the Igbo Nation.
Those interested in supporting the initiative can reach out to MOBIN via email at mobin.hra@gmail.com or mobinreports@gmail.com. With the Igbo Renaissance, MOBIN envisions a brighter future for the Igbo people, surpassing their past achievements.
