Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has etched her name in the record books once again, becoming the first Bay FC player to score a penalty in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Her decisive goal in Bay FC’s 1-0 win over Racing Louisville was the highlight of the match.
Oshoala’s precision from the spot 14 minutes from time sent the goalkeeper the wrong way, securing the win for Bay FC. This feat comes on the heels of her historic debut goal for the club in the USA, which marked Bay FC’s first-ever goal. The former Barcelona player has now scored three goals for Bay FC since joining the team.
Notably, her international teammate, Uchenna Kanu, did not make Racing Louisville’s matchday squad for the game. Oshoala’s impressive performance continues to make waves in the NWSL, solidifying her position as a formidable force in women’s soccer.
