Edo State Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo, has accused officials of the outgoing administration of looting government funds and properties. He called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate.
Okpebholo also urged banks to halt loan approvals to the state government during the transition period. He warned that those found guilty of looting would face consequences.
The outgoing administration denied the allegations, stating that Okpebholo’s associates should wait until November 12 to commence governance instead of making “spurious allegations.”
