Soludo suspends four principals for disobedience
Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has suspended four school principals in the state due to their failure to adhere to the state government’s “free education policy.” This action was taken following a statement from the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, as announced by the Public Relations Officer of the state Ministry of Education, Nnaemeka Egwuonwu.
The suspended principals are Nkem Nkechi of Washington Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha; Onwurah Catherine of Kenneth Dike Secondary School, Awka; Dr. Cordelia Okonkwo of New Era Secondary School, Onitsha; and Amaka Ubaka of Prince Memorial High School, Onitsha. They are accused of not complying with the state’s free education policy. A committee has been set up to investigate their actions, and if found guilty, they may be required to reimburse the collected fees.
