BAYELSA GUBERNATORIAL ELECTIONS:ERADIRI, ACCUSES OTHER CANDIDATES OF EMBEZZLEMENT.

Bayelsa gubernatorial elections:Eradiri, accuses other candidates of embezzlement. The Labour Party Governorship Candidate in Bayelsa, Udengs Eradiri, accused other candidates of funding their campaigns with embezzled government funds. He made this claim in an interview with ARISE NEWS on Wednesday.Eradiri said, “We’re making progress. Despite not having as much money as them, I’m not afraid because they all rely on stolen government funds. But I’m running my campaign to the best of my ability, and people are starting to resonate with my message.”Responding to claims that he’s part of the elite class due to his previous position in the NDDC and won’t bring about any change, Eradiri asked to verify his track record, emphasizing his history of delivering on the job.He said, “If I didn’t engage in government, people would say I lack experience.

Now that I’ve been involved, they label me as part of the establishment. Check the roles I’ve held and how I wielded authority – that’s what matters. In NDDC, I served as the special assistant to the interim administrator, and I focused on my job description. If I failed, point out where I was supposed to do x, y, z, and I didn’t.”Regarding the state’s challenges and his approach, Udengs highlighted the poor state of the education system and the need to introduce information technology to engage the youth.

He said, “40% of our population in Bayelsa comprises young people, and our major problem is education. Many youths drop out due to unfavorable school environments and outdated teaching methods. We must integrate information technology into our educational system to spark interest.”On the issue of constant flooding, Udengs mentioned employing the Bayelsa dredging company to address the problem in affected communities. He explained, “We’ll revive the Bayelsa dredging company and use it to dredge most communities. By creating an arc around the community and constructing canals, we can control the water flow”.
