MOBIN Media News got this news directly from the counsel of IPOB/as Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra, the Elders of the Indigenous People of Biafra’s legal case would shortly begin at Appeal Court, Enugu as the Counsel for CG-IPOB is requesting for a hearing date to proceed with the matter already in court between Customary Government of Indegenous Poeple of Biafra (Apellant), and Federal Republic of Nigeria ( Attorney general of the Federation, General Olusegun Obasanjo (Rtd), General Yakubu Gowon (Rtd) (Respondents) .
The Customary Government of Biafra, through Mekadolf Chambers, notified the court on February 13, 2024, that she was prepared to proceed with the appeal against the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Attorney General of the Federation (Respondents), Gowon and others, in a case involving unresolved issues between Biafra and Nigeria. The letter was addressed to the Deputy Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Enugu State Division.
The Enugu Federal High Court occasionally dismissed the lawsuit with Suit number FHC/EN/CS/103/2019 in 2020. The Customary Government of Biafra later appealed the verdict of the Honourable Judge in the Federal High Court through Mekadolf Chambers in Appeal No. CA/E/96/2020.
