Burna Boy lied, He didn’t reject $5million music show – ID CabasaRenowned record producer Olumide Ogunade, also known as ID Cabasa, has refuted Burna Boy’s recent assertion that he turned down a $5 million gig in Dubai due to the prohibition of smoking in public areas according to Emirati law.
Burna Boy had claimed during a rehearsal with his band, Outsiders, that he rejected a substantial offer to perform in Dubai because of the restrictions on smoking weed in public spaces. However, ID Cabasa challenged the veracity of Burna Boy’s statement in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu.During the podcast, Nedu asked ID Cabasa about Burna Boy’s refusal of the $5 million offer, suggesting that it might indicate an addiction to smoking.
ID Cabasa responded by expressing skepticism about the authenticity of Burna Boy’s claim, hinting that such a significant amount of money might have prompted the singer to use it as a publicity stunt. He remarked, “When I saw that stuff online, two things came to my mind, and I will be truthful. I felt that it was a media stunt. That thing was not true. It’s $5 million we are talking about here.”
