AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara state and esteemed members of the Ilorin community gathered today to observe Eid prayers.
Governor AbdulRazaq, alongside prominent figures from Ilorin, participated in the customary two-unit prayers marking this year’s Eid al-Adha celebrations. The prayers took place at the Ilorin Central Praying Ground.
Leading the prayer ceremony was the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Soliu. The Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, and various dignitaries were also present.
Following a journey through the festive crowds and celebratory traffic, the Governor and his companions, including his brother, Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq (Mutawali of Ilorin), arrived at the prayer ground in a white bus around 9:40 AM.
Awaiting him were a large crowd and esteemed members of the Ilorin Muslim community. This included prominent figures like former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, former Chief Justice of Nigeria Alfa Belgore, Zanna of Ilorin Engr. Lanre Sagaya, Mufti of Ilorin Sheikh Suleiman Farouk Onikijipa, and many others.
Joining the Governor were Senator Salihu Mustapha (Turaki of Ilorin and Kwara Central Senator), House of Representatives members Messrs. Ahmad Yinka Aluko and Mukhtar Shagaya, Kwara House of Assembly Leader Hon. Magaji and his colleagues, the Governor’s Chief of Staff Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, other cabinet members, and various party leaders and chieftains.
