EPL: I’m closer to leaving than staying at Man City – Guardiola reveals

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that he may be nearing the end of his tenure with the club, stating that he is “closer to leaving than staying”. This comes after City secured their fourth consecutive Premier League title with a 3-1 win over West Ham.

Guardiola, who has one year remaining on his contract, has not yet made a decision on his future. However, he indicated that he is leaning towards departing the Etihad Stadium, citing his eight-year tenure as a factor.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Guardiola said, “The reality is, I’m closer to leaving than to staying. It’s eight years; it will be nine. Right now, my feeling is I want to stay next season. We talked with the club. We have time to talk next season because I have to see the players as well; if they follow me, they follow us.”

Guardiola’s comments have sparked speculation about his future plans, with many wondering what’s next for the highly successful manager.
