The Federal Government has unveiled plans to inaugurate the next phase of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, stretching from Cross River to Akwa Ibom, in August. This development is part of the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at sustaining infrastructural growth.
According to the Minister of Works, David Umahi, Section Three and Four of the highway will commence in Cross River and terminate in Akwa Ibom, covering a total distance of 107km. The minister expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his support and commitment to the project.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, also expressed his appreciation to the President for approving the next phase of the project, urging Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to provide maximum support to the Federal Government. The stakeholders engagement meeting was held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, to discuss the project’s details and timeline.
