On January 8, it was reported that she went to see her boyfriend in Edo. Her whereabouts were unclear after that.
In a social media post, the student’s younger sister said that since her sister moved out of the house, she has not spoken to or seen her. She claimed that when she contacted her sister’s phone, her kidnappers responded and informed her that she was taken hostage and would not be allowed to return.
“On Monday, January 8, 2023, at Upper Owina Street, Egor in Edo state, my sister Gift Chizoba Ajuruchi, a final-year student at Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, Imo state, went to Edo state to visit her boyfriend,” the post asks.
We haven’t seen her or heard from her since that day.
Her kidnappers informed us over the phone that she had been taken and would not be released.
We learned the location and address when we used the police to hunt down my sister’s phone number.
When the police arrived, they were unable to locate her.
“I would want to request that the Edo State government please look into this.
“I also want to implore anyone who knows anything about her whereabouts to get in touch with me as soon as possible at 08038857624 and 08151192399.”
