Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper Enyeama Mourns Father’s Passing
Vincent Enyeama, former Super Eagles goalkeeper, is grieving the loss of his father, Phillip Enyeama. The sad news was shared by Enyeama himself in a heartfelt tribute posted on his Instagram account on Saturday, February 24.
In the tribute, Enyeama expressed gratitude to God for his father’s well-lived life, stating, “To God be the glory for a life well spent. You were the reason a lot of people achieved what they achieved. You were selfless and generous. You stood in for many, you fought for many to achieve their dreams.”
Enyeama, who had previously experienced the loss of his mother in 2015, continued his tribute with poignant words, “I am proud to have been fathered by you. It’s a series. Your number was called. Farewell. God rest your soul in peace.”
The tribute was accompanied by a video showing Enyeama and his late father playing table tennis, highlighting the bond they shared.
The passing of Phillip Enyeama marks another chapter in the former goalkeeper’s life, as he navigates through this period of mourning.
