D’banj, a renowned Nigerian musician, has expressed his thoughts on the moral disparity between his generation of artists and the current crop. In an interview with a Lagos-based radio station, he noted a significant difference in the moral standards of the two generations.
D’banj pointed out that having a child out of wedlock was once a career-ending taboo, whereas now it’s widely accepted and even celebrated. He jokingly scolds his colleague, 2Baba (2Face), for not encouraging him to follow suit years ago.
D’banj emphasized the importance of being mentally and financially prepared for parenthood, regardless of one’s age or circumstances. He believes it’s essential to embrace the responsibilities that come with having children, rather than just celebrating the act itself.
