House of Representatives Boosts Nigerian Olympic Team with N100 Million Donation

The House of Representatives has shown its support for the Nigerian Olympic team by donating N100 million to aid their preparation for the Paris Olympics.

This generous gesture was announced by Deputy Speaker Ben Kalu during a plenary session on Wednesday, where the Minister of Sport, John Enoh, and the team were hosted.

The Deputy Speaker emphasized that the donation would come from the members’ salaries, stating: “The money is coming from our salaries.” This demonstrates the representatives’ commitment to investing in the team’s success.

Furthermore, Chairman of the House Committee on Army, Aminu Balele (APC, Katsina), contributed an additional N3 million to the team.

The donation was presented during the plenary session, showcasing the collective effort to support Nigeria’s Olympic aspirations.
