A letter written by Lord Macauley on how the Europeans conquered Africa has been in circulation.
According to the letter, Lord Macauley advised that breaking of Africans Spiritual and Cultural heritage is the perfect way to conquer Africa. They deceived Africans, and made them to believe that anything from the Europeans (white people) are the best. They destroyed the culture and tradition of Africans, using education and religion as a tool.
It is time to take back what belongs to us, the Europeans have fooled us enough. They did not only destroy our culture and tradition, they have continued to milk us, and thrive with our resources. Enough is Enough!
It is time to return back to our roots! Time to return back to our culture and tradition!!! Time to take back what rightfully belonged to us!!!
This is what the letter from Lord Macauley said ” I have travelled across the length and breadth of Africa and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage and therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Africans think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation”
