The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released an additional 36,540 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, bringing the total number of released results to 1,879,437. This follows the earlier release of 531 results, which were initially withheld for further investigation.
JAMB has also dismissed reports circulating on social media about a cyber security breach compromising the outstanding 2024 UTME results. The board’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, stated that these reports are false and aimed at deceiving the public.
The board clarified that it is still investigating some results for examination misconduct and will publish its findings once the review is complete. It also urged the public to be cautious of misleading information from unverified sources.
Additionally, JAMB addressed concerns about “cut-off marks,” stating that individual institutions submit their minimum admissible scores, which are then debated to arrive at a benchmark agreed upon by all Heads of Institutions at the annual Policy Meeting on Admissions.
The board reminded religious organizations to focus on their primary roles and avoid making false representations to government authorities for personal gain.
