JUBILATION IN IGBOLAND AS MOBIN PROFFERS SOLUTION TO INSECURITY IN THE SOUTH-EAST

Mobin Media has obtained a copy of the letter written to Igbo Leaders captioned PROPOSAL TO RESTORE PEACE AND DIGNITY OF IGBOLAND with Reference No MC/ILC/2024 dated 1st November 2024 by which MOBIN proffered the Perfect Solution to the problems of insecurity in the South-East region of Nigeria. The letter was addressed to the South-East Governors Forum, South-East Traditional Rulers Council, South-East Senators Caucus, Christian Association of Nigeria (South-East Chapter), and copied to all Governors, all Senators, all Houses of Assembly, all Judiciary Officers, all Traditional Rulers, all Community Leaders, all Youth Leaders, all Students Unions, all Market Unions, all Military Officers  of the South East (whether in service or retired), all Police Officers of the South-East (weather in service or retired), all Self-Determination Groups and Freedom fighters in the South-East, etc.

When Mobin Media contacted the Chairman of MOBIN, Barr Dr Emeka Emekesiri, for an interview, he said as follows: “The problem of insecurity in the South-East is a very simple problem to solve. I am surprised that everybody seems to have given up.  Now, Igboland has been destroyed with the introduction of sit-at-home order every Monday and its enforcement by unknown gun men. Every criminal gang now claims to be unknown gun men fighting for freedom. Many Igbo people have run away and emigrated to the States in the Northern and Western Nigeria and outside Nigeria. Why should we run away from our ancestral homeland and leave it desolate? If our ancestors had run away from Igboland, we would not have got a homeland for habitation today called Igboland.  If we do nothing about this problem, our children shall grow up in future and ask us the pertinent questions about what we did when these problems confronted Igboland. The truth is that just as the head of a family must take decisive actions to protect his ancestral heritage and has no excuse to abdicate his duties to organise and control his family, the Elders of Igboland have no excuse to abdicate their duties to organise and control Igboland.  We have the Perfect Solution to the problems of insecurity in Igboland. MOBIN has come to restore the peace and dignity of the entire Igbo Nation. We have a lot of work to do to restore the dignity of the Igbo Nation including outreaches to Igbo people carved into the South-South and Middle Belt regions of Nigeria because the Igbo Nation is One People.”

The Chairman of MOBIN confirmed that the letter has been dispatched to all Igbo Leaders. The letter was signed by the Chairman, the Director of National Orientation, Comrade Zulu Ofoelue, and the Director of Mass Mobilization, Professor (Evang) Joseph Agbo. The letter is uploaded to the website of Mobin Media and reads as follows:

Dear Sirs,

PROPOSAL TO RESTORE THE PEACE AND DIGNITY OF IGBOLAND

1.       Introduction:

The writers of this letter are the Founders and Vision Bearers of the original IPOB (Indigenous People of Biafra) before it was hijacked and destroyed. They established it under the authority and leadership of the Elders of Biafraland of which His Lordship, His Royal Majesty, the Honourable Justice Eze Ozobu, OFR, was the leader; Dr Dozie Ikedife, OON, (Ikenga Nnewi) was the Deputy Leader; and Col. Joe Achuzia was the Secretary General. There were other Elders of Biafraland in the leadership such as HRM Eze Nwokenna, Chief Debe Odumegwu Ojukwu, Professor Chidi Osuagwu, etc, who constituted the leadership council known as the Supreme Council of Elders of Indigenous People of Biafra. Although Barrister Emeka Emekesiri created IPOB, he did not make himself the leader but entrusted the leadership and control of the body into the hands of the Elders and became the Legal Adviser to the Council of Elders.

We had a vision of achieving the freedom of Igbo Nation based on the Igbo Master Plan drawn by the Igbo Intelligentsia in 1994 at Enugu and presented to the Abacha Constitutional Conference in 1995 by our delegates, Dr Alex Ekwueme, Dee Sam Mbakwe, and Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu, which gave rise to the 6 geopolitical regions in Nigeria starting with Regional Autonomy. Therefore, we commenced the process of self-determination by legal methodology and political diplomacy.

We filed the case between Biafra and Nigeria in the Suit No FHC/OW/CS/102/2012 in the Federal High Court Owerri to gain judicial immunity. We reached out to the countries in the International Community including Britain, Germany, United States of America, Australia, Canada, etc. The first country that invited us for a diplomatic meeting to consider the possibility of recognizing Biafra as required by International Law was Australia in 2013. The movement of Indigenous People of Biafra was a glorious movement respected by all countries of the world including the Federal Government of Nigeria which always sent the Attorney General of the Federation and his lawyers to the Court to argue their case.

Unfortunately, a young man called Mr Nnamdi Kanu who left Mr. Ralph Uwazuruike’s MASSOB and joined the IPOB destroyed the glorious movement of Indigenous People of Biafra. He told us that he was talented in media work and broadcasting. As we needed a person to work in our media department, we put him in charge of our mobile internet Radio called Radio Biafra. We did not know that he had an ulterior motive. Suddenly, with the power of media, he announced that he had dissolved the Council of Elders of Indigenous People of Biafra and had become the leader of IPOB. He sacked our Leader, His Royal Majesty, The Honourable Justice Eze Ozobu; the Deputy Leader, Dr Dozie Ikedife; and all the Elders like in a military coup.

He announced that the Elders of Igboland are saboteurs and traitors. He called our Elders and Ohanaeze Ndigbo various unprintable names such as Ohanaeze Ndioshi, saboteurs, turncoats and traitors. He rejected our legal methodology and political diplomacy for self-determination and announced that “Without Violence there would be no Biafra”. His mantra was “Biafra or Death”. He radicalised the youths, incited them to violence and threatened to assassinate us. We excommunicated and ostracised him on 12 May 2014 but with the power of media using the mobile internet Radio, he was able to control the minds of the people with false propaganda.

He introduced violence into the struggle for self-determination. He went into confrontations with the Nigerian Security Forces. He introduced the Monday Sit-At-Home Order and its enforcement by unknown gun men that has crippled and destroyed Igboland. Unfortunately, the Sit-At-Home Order has been hijacked by criminals. Every criminal gang now claims to be unknown gun men fighting for freedom. Although Nnamdi Kanu has cancelled the Sit-At-Home order and distanced himself from it as disclosed by his lawyers, we heard that some of his followers and disciples led by Mr Simon Ekpa rebelled against him and continued with the atrocities they commit in Igboland. Thus, he cannot stop them anymore because they no longer obey him. Consequently, Igboland is now destroyed.

2.       Solution

Seeing that Nnamdi Kanu and his followers had destroyed the original vision and movement of IPOB, we created another organisation called MOBIN (whose ontological meaning is Managing Opportunities By Intelligent Networking with an operational name as Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria) to pursue self-determination by law, politics and diplomacy. We made it clear to the Nigerian Government in our argument in the Federal High Court that we are Nigerians by citizenship but Biafrans by indigenous identity just as the people of Scotland are British by citizenship but Scots by indigenous identity.

We argued that we could co-exist in Nigeria with the people of Oduduwa and Arewa just as the Scots co-exist with the Irish, the Welsh and the Anglo-Saxons in the UK. Therefore, we decided to pursue “Economic Biafra” as a priority instead of “Geographical Biafra”, so that we could develop Igboland to be like Dubai, Scotland, Hong Kong, or Taiwan which are mere regions in their countries, but the youths radicalised by Nnamdi Kanu began to call us Saboteurs and Traitors without understanding our vision and strategies. It became very clear that the youths of Igboland have been radicalised and made to rebel against the authority of the Elders. In fact, right from the village level, the youths have rebelled against the authority of the Elders and no longer listen to or obey their Elders.

We commenced a Project to Restore the Peace and Dignity of Igboland. We started some rehabilitation programmes, re-orientation programmes, skills acquisition and youth empowerment schemes. To pursue the Igbo Master Plan, we submitted the Memorandum to the National Assembly to restructure Nigeria by devolution of power to the Regions by creating six Regional Governments in line with the existing six geopolitical regions so that every region would govern itself and develop at its own pace in Nigeria just like the United Kingdom of Great Britain which has four nations in one country, namely: Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales. The debate for Regional Autonomy has gathered momentum now among Nigerians from all regions.

Before Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu died, he invited Barr Emeka Emekesiri to his house to discuss the problem of insecurity in Igboland and proffer the best solution knowing that he is the Founder and Vision Bearer of the original IPOB before it was hijacked and destroyed. He took a copy of the Memorandum we submitted to the National Assembly for Regional Autonomy. He understood our vision and joined the struggle for self-determination by restructuring Nigeria to Regional Autonomy so that every Region would govern itself and develop at its own pace. He agreed that the people of Arewa, Oduduwa and Biafra and any other ethnic group could co-exist harmoniously in Nigeria. After the meeting, he was convinced of our strategy and therefore gave us the mandate TO DO EVERYTHING NECESSARY TO RESTORE THE PEACE AND DIGNITY OF IGBO NATION AND BRING THE REBELLIOUS CHILDREN BACK TO THE ELDERS OF IGBOLAND.

Implementation:

We started meeting at the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Secretariat Enugu to plan for the implementation of the strategies. Chief Iwuanyanwu always sent his Personal Assistant, Dr. Pat Anyanwu, to represent him at the Meeting. Barely two months later, he died and left the Project in our hands. The Project to restore the Peace and Dignity of Igboland is Chief Iwuanyanwu’s Project and his Last Wish as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo which the living should continue with. This letter is dated 1st Nov 2024 in his honour as he bids us farewell.

By the grace of God, we have the PERFECT SOLUTION to the problem of insecurity in Igboland. We request the audience of Igbo Leaders for a detailed discussion on this Proposal to Restore the Peace and Dignity of Igbo Nation. We have copied this letter to all Igbo Leaders we could reach including our Governors, Senators, House of Rep Members, Traditional Rulers, Religious Leaders, etc. We request the South-East Governors Forum to convene the meeting for this purpose. If possible, we would like the Meeting to hold in Enugu at the Old Government Lodge, GRA, Enugu.

The Elders of Igboland have the right under Customary Law to organize our children and control our homeland.

We look forward to hearing from you as a matter of extreme urgency.
