Muhammad Kamaludeen University, Ilorin, Kwara State, has announced plans to offer $1,000 in start-up funds for students interested in entrepreneurship.
The university’s vice chancellor, Prof. Rasheed Jimoh, disclosed this during the university’s inaugural matriculation ceremony for 146 pioneer students.
The university has developed innovative courses, including MKU-GS 112, to equip students with entrepreneurship and innovative skills. The goal is to assist students in developing viable startup ideas and achieving over $1,000 in funding before registration.
The university has also introduced initiatives to prepare students for global competition and critical thinking.
