The Lagos State Police Command has arrested popular musician Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, over an alleged unpaid debt. The controversial singer was taken into custody on Tuesday following a complaint filed by a car dealer.
According to reports, Portable purchased a G-Wagon worth N27 million but only paid N13 million, leaving a balance of N14 million. Despite repeated demands, he allegedly refused to settle the outstanding debt, prompting the car dealer to seek police intervention.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the arrest, stating, “The report is true. He was arrested today.”
Portable’s arrest has sparked attention in the music industry, with many awaiting further developments in the case.
