Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mourns the Passing of Deputy Chief of Staff, Gboyega Soyannwo

The Lagos State Government has announced the passing of Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Soyannwo, aged 55, died on Wednesday after a brief illness.

Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his devastation at Soyannwo’s sudden departure, describing him as a brother, confidante, and faithful believer in their collective vision for a greater Lagos. He praised Soyannwo’s dedication and service to the state, which he said would never be forgotten.

The governor offered his condolences to Soyannwo’s wife, Yewande, and their children during this difficult time, praying for God’s comfort and strength in their grief.

Soyannwo’s passing was announced by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, in a statement titled “Transition”.
