According to Punch News, In a disturbing incident on January 25th around 2:00 pm, Mary Ololuwa became the victim of an alleged assault by her ex-husband, Olamilekan Morekeji, in Ajegunle. The assault reportedly occurred when Mary refused to provide information about their children during a chance encounter near her shop in Bako Estate.
The couple had a history of constant problems, leading to their eventual divorce. Sources reveal that Mary Ololuwa was stopped by her ex-husband, Olamilekan Morekeji, who inquired about their kids. The situation escalated when Mary’s response angered him, resulting in a violent attack using a large stone. The assault left Mary with serious injuries to her head and face.
Quickly responding to the incident, the police took Olamilekan Morekeji into custody, and Mary Ololuwa was rushed to Irawo Hospital for immediate medical attention. Good Samaritans played a crucial role in rescuing Mary and bringing her to the police station.
State Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hudeyin, confirmed the incident, assuring that an ongoing investigation would be transferred to the gender office for further scrutiny and support. Authorities are taking the necessary steps to ensure justice is served in this distressing case of domestic violence.
