A suspected Boko Haram terrorist attack has left many feared killed and houses razed in Mafa village, Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State. The incident occurred on Sunday at around 4 pm, with gunmen on motorcycles looting and setting ablaze shops and houses.
The Yobe State Police Command spokesman, Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the incident, stating that the number of casualties is yet to be ascertained. The attackers also dropped fliers with Arabic inscriptions.
This recent attack comes after another incident in neighboring Geidam, where terrorists attacked a private school, killing three students and injuring one.
The recurring terrorist attacks in the region have raised concerns about the safety and security of lives and properties.
