Singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has credited her husband, Adekunle Gold, with inspiring her latest song, ‘Men Are Crazy’.
The song, which features Tiwa Savage, sparked mixed reactions, with some male social media users criticizing the song’s tone.
In a recent podcast appearance on Angela Yee’s ‘Way Up’, Simi revealed that Adekunle Gold suggested the idea for the song.
She recalled him saying, “Babe, how about we do a song and you say men are crazy, but I still want one in my bed?”
Simi found the idea intriguing and created the song, initially completing two verses before feeling something was missing. She then reached out to Tiwa Savage, and the collaboration resulted in a successful song and music video.
Simi acknowledged that her and Tiwa Savage’s music styles don’t typically align, but she appreciated the opportunity to find a balance and blend their energies in ‘Men Are Crazy’.
