N10 billion has been made aside by President Bola Tinubu for the renovation and upkeep of his Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila’s official mansion.
This is included in the N21 billion overall budgetary allotment made by President Bola Tinubu for Femi Gbajabiamila in the budget projections for the upcoming year that the President submitted to the National Assembly last month.
The National Assembly is still reviewing the proposed N27.5 trillion budget.Tinubu will spend N638.5 million on domestic travel and N6.9 billion on international travel, for a total of N7.6 billion, according to the proposed budget.
According to a previous revelation by SaharaReporters, Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima, were estimated to spend N10.13 billion on travel and meals in the 2024 Nigerian budget plan.
Shettima will spend N1.8 billion on her travels, of which N1.2 billion will be spent abroad and N618.4 million on domestic travel.
The budget was presented to a joint session of parliament with a request for legislative approval of a total spending plan that included borrowing N7.8 trillion, 1.78 million barrels of crude oil per day, and an exchange rate of N700 to the US dollar
As per the breakdown of the requested amount, Gbajabiamila suggested spending N104 million on buying PCs and printers. The CoS office has allocated N579 million for “local travel and transport for international training,” and another N103 million is anticipated for “miscellaneous.”
