The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended two notorious drug kingpins, Ajiboye Samuel and Alhaji Bashir Talba, in separate operations in Ogun and Lagos States.
Samuel, known as “Na God,” was declared wanted after a raid on his Lagos warehouse, where 1,101 kilograms of cannabis were seized. He was arrested in a bank in Ogun State.
Alhaji Bashir Talba, a community leader, was arrested after the discovery of 226.2 kilograms of cannabis at his residences in Badagry.
Additionally, two ex-convicts, Muhammad Machido and Zakari Buhari, were arrested in Katsina State with opioid pills and cannabis.
The NDLEA also foiled attempts to export heroin and other drugs to several countries, including the US, UK, and Australia.
Other arrests include an automobile spare parts dealer, Ejiofor Chiwuzie, for attempting to export heroin and cannabis concealed in auto parts.
The agency seized various drugs, including tramadol, pentazocine injections, and cannabis, in multiple operations across the country.
