The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed its decision to bring in a foreign technical adviser for the Super Eagles. This decision was made during a meeting of top NFF officials, including President Ibrahim Musa Gusau and other members of the Executive Committee.
The NFF apologized to fans for the team’s poor performances in four out of ten matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. To address this, the federation has vowed to put measures in place ahead of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers and the resumption of the World Cup qualifiers in March 2025.
The Executive Committee resolved to employ an expatriate technical adviser for the Super Eagles in the coming weeks. Additionally, the committee expressed dissatisfaction with the attitude of some players and unanimously decided to implement a more robust scouting program to identify outstanding Nigeria-eligible players from around the world who can add value to the team.
