NOLLYWOOD ACTOR SYLVESTER MADU ATTACKED BY UNKNOWN GUNMEN IN CAMEROON

Sylvester Madu, a well-known Nollywood actor, barely escapes as gunmen attack a Cameroonian film location, killing four people.

Luckily, Sylvester Madu got away with it since the Cameroonian police handled the situation swiftly. Four people have reportedly been killed and around ten injured when gunmen apparently broke into a movie location where Sylvester Madu, a Nigerian Nollywood actor, was invited.

On November 23, 2023, the Nigerian actor, who just avoided death by whiskers, is said to have flown to Bamenda, Cameroon, to begin filming a movie. On Saturday night, though, he was attacked.Witnesses reported that the actor was met with a rousing reception from Cameroonian admirers who could not contain their joy at seeing him. However, on Saturday, November 25, at around ten o’clock at night, a group of unidentified shooters broke into a pub where Madu and a few other people were hanging out, causing mayhem among the patrons. It was found that four individuals had died and over ten had suffered significant injuries as a result of the attack. Luckily, Sylvester Madu got away with it since the Cameroonian police handled the situation swiftly.

The film studio that invited Sylvester Madu to Cameroon for the shoot acknowledged the horrific tragedy in a press release. “DAMA Films received Nollywood actor Sylvester Madu, aka Shina Rambo, on Thursday, November 23, 2023 in Bamenda for a movie shoot advocating against hard drug addiction,” the firm said in part in a statement. We were invited to a guest appearance at BIG G VIP, which is situated at Mile 3 Nkwen, for the movie’s conclusion. “Big G’s snooker championship got underway at 3 p.m., and things were going great as fans met Sylvester Madu. However, at around 10 p.m., we heard gunfire coming from outside, and many people fled hysterically, which resulted in four civilian deaths and over ten injuries.

“The police moved in to disperse the crowd and ensure the safety of Nollywood actor Sylvester Madu. “Beginning at midnight, passersby showed compassion by transporting the injured to the closest hospitals, PMI Nkwen and Regional Hospital, where they are still receiving medical attention. To this end, the Police are presently looking into the matter for nollywood actor Sylvester Madu’s safety and his next trip back to his country Nigeria.
