Nollywood actress and media personality, Dorcas Shola Fapson, popularly known as Ms DSF, has clarified rumors surrounding Toke Makinwa’s alleged secret marriage to her longtime partner, Farouk Umar.
Reports emerged that Makinwa and Umar had tied the knot after photos from an event, initially claimed to be Makinwa’s “thanksgiving” ceremony, went viral. Ms DSF fueled the rumors on social media, hinting at the couple’s marriage.
However, in a recent video message, Ms DSF stated that her earlier claim was a joke. She explained that the event was indeed Makinwa’s “thanksgiving” ahead of her birthday and not a marriage ceremony.
“Bloggers, please, I’m just joking. They [Toke Makinwa and Farouk Umar] are not getting married. Toke is just doing thanksgiving for her birthday,” Ms DSF clarified.
Toke Makinwa was previously married to businessman Maje Ayida from 2014 to 2017.
Ms DSF’s clarification has put the rumors to rest, confirming that Makinwa and Umar are not secretly married.
