Today, an Israeli strike killed a Palestinian commander, Fatah, in southern Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese army, Khalil al-Makdah was killed in a drone attack in the port city of Sidon, 40 kilometers south of Beirut.
It was also reported by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of Fatah, that al-Makdah was killed while also applauding his work supporting the Palestinian people, especially after the Gaza attacks.
The News Agency of Nigeria confirmed that the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades is a loose network without a clear hierarchy, and local groups often act on their own.
“Assassinations make us stronger, and this testimony is a badge of honor and the resistance remains solid on the ground,” Mounir al-Makdah, a senior Fatah official in Ain El-Hilweh camp, in Sidon said.
He also mentioned that his brother had served as “a brigadier general in the Fatah movement and works in the military wing of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.”
