Peter Obi donates 20M to Enugu Hospital The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has contributed N20 million to the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital in Enugu State for establishing a College of Nursing Sciences.

Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, shared this initiative on his X handle on Monday, November 13, emphasizing his dedication to investing in crucial national development areas such as health, education, and poverty alleviation.

In his post, Obi stated, “During my visit to Nsukka in Enugu State over the weekend, I made a donation of N20 million to the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital, Nsukka. This aligns with my ongoing commitment to invest in key areas of national development, namely: health, education, and poverty eradication.”The contribution serves as my initial support to the hospital, facilitated through the Anglican Bishop of Nsukka, Rt Rev. Aloysius Agbo, to kickstart the construction of a College of Nursing Sciences.”Recognizing the pivotal role of healthcare workers in Primary Healthcare delivery, the cornerstone of any credible healthcare system, we must prioritize the training of healthcare professionals, especially amid the current shortage both nationally and globally.”I express gratitude to Bishop Aloysius Agbo and the entire Faith Foundation Hospital team for taking this significant step in establishing a College of Nursing Sciences

“I remain committed to supporting projects that foster development in our nation and contribute to the well-being of Nigerians. Through such efforts, we can collectively build the New Nigeria we envision.”Credit X: @Peterobi
