Meanwhile, the Nigerian military has stated that it will intervene if the violence recorded in some states during the protests escalates. The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, said the military would step in to control the looting and violence being witnessed in some parts of the country.
The #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest started on Thursday, with reports of violence and loss of life in several states. Businesses and banks were shut, and major roads were deserted. The protest continued on Friday, with clashes between police and protesters in different parts of the country.
