Rangers International FC, also known as the Flying Antelopes, have emerged champions of the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). This marks their eighth NPFL title win.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s team secured the title with a 2-0 victory over Bendel Insurance on Sunday, courtesy of goals from Kenechukwu Agu and Chidiebere Nwobodo. The win propelled Rangers to the top of the league table with 67 points from 37 matches.
Their closest contenders, Remo Stars and Enyimba, suffered defeats on the same day. Remo Stars lost 2-1 to Sunshine Stars in the South West derby in Akure, while Enyimba fell 2-1 to Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan. These losses cemented Rangers’ position at the top of the league, confirming their title win.
