REFUSING NNAMDI KANU’S VISITOR PRESENTS YOU AS AN ILLEGAL ORGANISATION

The Department of State Services (DSS) said yesterday that it did not have enough staff to manage the arrangements for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s guests due of the governorship elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi States. However, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) referred to this as blatant rubbish.

It further said that the DSS’s justification for refusing Kanu access to his weekly guests was absurd and one of those petty remarks that leads the public to believe that the organisation is run by lawless individuals.
Therefore, the pro-Biafra organisation voiced concern that the DSS headquarters workers in Abuja were harassing and denying its leader’s visitors for reasons other than the election.

According to a statement released by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the DSS on Thursday, November 9, 2023, denied Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s visitors access on the basis of thin pretexts. The statement further stated that the governorship elections in the Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi states are unrelated to Mazi Kanu’s weekly visits and, as such, should not be cited as justification for the denial.

“Our supreme leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, ably leads the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which raises alarm over the denial and harassment of our leader’s visitors by the DSS headquarters staff in Abuja,” stated the IPoB statement.
“On Thursday, November 9, 2023, the DSS denied Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s guests admission citing a tenuous governorship election pretext. The Abuja DSS’s argument that it lacks the manpower to manage the logistics for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s visitors due to the elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi States is ludicrous, absurd, and laughable. It also paints the DSS as an organisation full of lawless and stupid employees.

“Our leader was permitted to have guests at the DSS detention and solitary confinement facility during the general elections for the positions of governor, president, and state legislature.
Therefore, why should the Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa State governorship elections compel the DSS to deny Mazi Nnamdi Kanu his guests? We find it unacceptable that this is a deliberate attempt to torment and complicate his life.

“It is odd that the DSS used this justification to deny our leader his guests as the court had directed. As such, we caution DSS to use caution when managing the matters pertaining to our leader. We anticipate no more justifications or favouritism from our leader in the future.
“IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are aware of the DSS’s tricks and the current Fulani-influenced Nigerian government. As the DSS and its Director, Mr. Yusuf Bichi, prepare and begin their ruses, IPOB is keeping an eye on them.
