Simi Reveals Surprising Details About Her Marriage Journey
In a recent episode of the ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast, 35-year-old Nigerian singer, Simi, disclosed unexpected details about her path to marriage with fellow artist Adekunle Gold.
Contrary to expectations, Simi confessed that she never had intentions of marrying an artiste. She unfolded the story of how she initially crossed paths with Adekunle Gold, revealing that she mistook him for a fan attempting to connect with her on Facebook.
The songstress further elaborated that, at the time of their first encounter, she was unaware of her now-husband’s musical pursuits. Instead, she knew him as a talented graphics designer.
“When I first met my husband, I did not know he was singing. Because I already said I cannot marry a singer. He used to do this King of Photoshop. I have never heard him sing up till that time. I think he was even a fan,” Simi shared during the podcast.
She recalled Adekunle Gold sending her a message on Facebook, a communication she initially missed and has yet to respond to. However, she sensed a connection and believed he was the right match for her.
In a surprising turn of events, Simi and Adekunle Gold tied the knot in 2019, showcasing that love sometimes unfolds in unexpected ways.
