The parent business of DStv, Gotv, Multichoice, has declared its intention to take Emmanuel TV off of its platform. The late TB Joshua Emmanuel TV’s sermons were broadcasted on DSTV channel 390, a well-known religious TV station that was launched in 2006 and has been broadcasted globally on multiple satellites.
On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Emmanuel TV, the television network founded by the late Nigerian televangelist Temitope Babatunde Joshua, also referred to as TB Joshua, will cease to be broadcasted on the MultiChoice platforms DStv and GOtv.
Emmanuel TV would leave StarSat and other pay-TV services in addition to MultiChoice.
This choice was made in response to a BBC investigative broadcast on the late TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), which aired on January 8.
The documentary detailed the purported atrocities and transgressions carried out by TB Joshua. Furthermore, it stated that the cleric staged his healing sessions.
