The Salary in FCT Every Month Is N8 Billion – Wike
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has revealed that the monthly salary expenditure in the FCT is N8 billion. He mentioned that this figure doesn’t include the recent N35,000 wage increase for civil servants and that the upcoming FCT budget will address concerns raised by various stakeholders and unions.
Wike acknowledged the challenges faced by the government due to limited resources and emphasized the importance of generating revenue. He also discussed the need for more resources for infrastructure development in the FCT.
Dr. Rahman Olayinka, the President of the FCT chapter of the Association of Resident Doctors, expressed gratitude to the minister for addressing some of their concerns but pointed out the shortage of healthcare professionals in the FCT and the need for more medical supplies.
