For peace, progress, and political stability in the nation, more than a thousand Islamic clerics have given special prayers for President Bola Tinubu and Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the National Leader of the NNPP.
The clergy were hosted in Kiru by Rep. Abdulmumin Kofa (NNPP-Kiru/Bebeji), who prayed for Gov. Kabir Yusuf of Kano State to succeed before the Supreme Court.
This is stated in a statement made on Monday in Kano by the legislator’s media assistant, Malam Sani Paki.
According to the statement, the clerics prayed for peace, advancement, and political stability in the nation while reciting the holy Qur’an 1,101 times.
Kofa made a brief statement at the ceremony stating that his relationship with Tinubu is public knowledge.
He clarified that Tinubu and Kwankwaso would continue to receive support and encouragement from one another since Kwankwaso is his mentor.
According to Kofa, the NNPP is a highly promising party that is still willing to work with the APC, the PDP, the LP, and any other interested parties in an alliance or merger as long as it is for the benefit of Nigerians.
In addition, he pledged to use his little political network to approach rivals in Kano politics in an effort to settle all disputes and reduce the strain that the state is currently experiencing due to the Kano governorship.
In addition, the lawmaker hosted 5,000 elementary school students from his district following the prayer session and gave them school supplies, as he frequently does.
According to the statement, Kofa gave the students assurances about the positive initiatives of the federal and state administrations, particularly regarding free education and school nutrition programmes.
