Two Chinese nationals, Chen Wenguang and Liang Ding, have been abducted in Ogun State. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when the duo left their company, Good One Carton Company, to visit friends in Kémta Village. They were kidnapped around 1:45 pm along Onigbedu Road in the Kémta/Abule-Owu area.
According to a police source, the victims did not inform security personnel or the company about their departure. The kidnappers have contacted the company to demand a ransom for their release.
The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the incident and is working to secure the release of the abducted expatriates. A thorough search of the Kémta Village forest was conducted by operatives from the Ewekoro Division, assisted by local vigilantes, military personnel, and other security groups.
Efforts are ongoing to ensure the safe release of Wenguang and Ding. This incident comes after the abduction of three Indian nationals on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in May 2024. They were later released after being held captive for three days.
