According to ThisDay News, prominent politicians and dignitaries gathered in Owerri, Imo State, on Friday to celebrate the 10th wedding anniversary and vow renewal of Governor Hope Uzodimma and his wife, Chioma. The event, held at the Government House Chapel, included a Thanksgiving Service conducted by the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Most Rev. Augustine Ukwuoma, alongside clergy from other denominations.
Governor Uzodimma expressed gratitude to God for the fulfillment his marriage has brought to his life. He praised his wife, Chioma, for her unwavering support and dedication, even amid political distractions that often take him away from home. He described marriage as challenging but rewarding and credited God’s guidance and mercy for their marital success.
The event saw the attendance of governors, including Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos State), Monday Okpehbolo (Edo State), Usman Ododo (Kogi State), and Lucky Orimisan Ayedetiwa (Ondo State). Other notable figures included Senator Adams Oshiomole, Senator Osita Izunaso, and various members of the Federal House of Representatives and Imo State Executive Council.
Also present were the wives of governors, retired justices such as Mary Odili, business leaders, traditional rulers, and All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, including Chief Emma Enukwu and Dr. Ijoma Arodiogbu.
Governor Uzodimma expressed his joy at renewing his vows and promised to do so again in the next 10 years. He thanked friends, political allies, and family members for their support.
