Nigerian actress Funke Akindele recently shared her approach to friendships in the entertainment industry during an interview on Arise TV. She revealed that aside from her siblings, she doesn’t have serious friendships due to her busy schedule.
Funke explained that her work and family keep her occupied, leaving little time for socializing. “I like being in my space. I don’t like going to parties. I run a studio, we film every year, and we have movies at cinemas and on streaming platforms, including content on YouTube. I’m very busy. So I just get busy with work and my children,” she said.
Although she maintains cordial relationships with her colleagues, she confessed that she has lost touch with some friends, including Eniola Badmus, whom she used to be close with. “Eniola Badmus cracks me up so much. I love to chill with her. But we have been so busy with life. Everybody is doing their thing,” Funke said, acknowledging that their busy schedules have drifted them apart.
