Nottingham Forest forward Taiwo Awoniyi has expressed his gratitude to God and thanked the club’s supporters after the team secured their Premier League status for the second consecutive season. Awoniyi took to social media to celebrate the achievement, writing, “After all is said and done, I’m who I am because of you (God). See you next season @premierleague.”
The Nigerian international also praised the club and its fans, saying, “Another year to remember again. You deserve it, Nottingham Forest. Thanks for your support always and for helping us to push through. You truly the best, You RED.”
Awoniyi played a significant role in Forest’s survival, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 20 league appearances this season. The team secured their safety with a 2-1 win at Burnley on the final day of the season, under the guidance of manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
