The Police Service Commission has refuted reports that it is reviewing the list of successful candidates for the 2022 constable recruitment exercise. The commission clarified that it has not issued any statement regarding the review of the list or invited candidates to check their application on a new portal.
The commission’s spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, advised successful candidates to be patient and await an official statement on the recruitment exercise. He warned against fake reports and urged candidates not to print updated invitation slips or proceed to Police Training Colleges.
The dispute between the Police Service Commission and the police over the recruitment exercise continues, with the police alleging corruption and irregularities. The commission has maintained that it will not cancel the list of successful candidates. The matter remains unresolved, with the Minister of Police Affairs attempting to intervene.
