This explosion resulted from a fire incident on November 6 in the High Commission’s generator house, causing two fatalities and injuring two others.After the incident, the commission announced its investigation into the fire outbreak.
It also confirmed the continuation of visa applications at its Lagos and Abuja centers.In a Tuesday statement, Demilade Kosemani, the commission’s Public Affairs staff, revealed that the investigation team would collaborate with relevant Nigerian authorities.
Following the November 6 explosion in the generator room at the Canadian High Commission in Nigeria, where two lives were lost and two others injured, a team of technical experts from Canada is now in Abuja.
They aim to conduct a formal investigation to determine the factors and conditions leading to the explosion.Efforts are underway to coordinate the Canadian investigation team’s work with the relevant Nigerian authorities, aligning with their respective mandates,” the statement partly read.
