Manchester City bosses have reassured manager Pep Guardiola and players that the club will not face severe penalties in the upcoming Premier League hearing. The hearing, set to begin today will address 115 charges related to alleged financial breaches from 2009 to 2018.
According to Aymeric Laporte, a former Manchester City player, the club’s sporting director and CEO have informed players and staff that there is no cause for concern. Laporte stated that the club’s leadership has assured them that no rules have been broken and that everything will be fine.
Manchester City has dominated the English Premier League, winning eight titles since 2012, including six of the last seven. The hearing is expected to last 10 weeks, with a verdict anticipated early next year.
