Atiku Denies Quitting PDP, Slams Tinubu
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has dismissed reports that he has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, affirming his loyalty and denouncing the claims as “pure mischief, devoid of truth.
“In a statement released on Tuesday, Atiku addressed the allegations, stating that he has received numerous calls from PDP members, supporters, and concerned Nigerians regarding the published report suggesting his departure from the party.
“Let me be unequivocal: this is pure mischief, devoid of truth,” Atiku stated firmly, reiterating his steadfast allegiance to the PDP while advocating for the swift consolidation of opposition parties, emphasizing the urgency of such a move.
Additionally, Atiku criticized President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of prioritizing personal ambitions over the welfare of the nation.”Tinubu’s relentless pursuit of personal agendas at the expense of national governance is glaring,” Atiku asserted, highlighting what he sees as a disregard for the pressing needs of the populace and calling for an end to Tinubu’s “bumbling escapades.
