President Bola Tinubu’s administration has achieved significant milestones in its first year, including defeating Boko Haram terrorists, according to Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume. Speaking at a book launch in Abuja, Akume commended Tinubu for his leadership and infrastructural developments, including building roads and the Abuja Metro Rail.
Additionally, the Defence Headquarters announced that 103 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists and their families surrendered to the Nigerian military in Borno State between May 21 and May 23, 2024.
The book launch, which celebrated Tinubu’s first-year achievements, featured donations from notable figures, including Akume and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, who each donated N10 million. Billionaire businessman Arthur Eze purchased 10 copies of the book for N20 million.
The book, titled “365 Days of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidency: Resetting the Strategic Foundation for a New Nigeria,” chronicles Tinubu’s political journey and examines his strategic communication management and political successes.
The authors, communications professors Bolu Folayan and Ajibolu Balofine, aimed to document Tinubu’s achievements for posterity and academic purposes. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nicholas Ella, praised the authors’ work, noting that one of the authors, Balofine, is an accomplished researcher.
