Nigerian billionaire and politician, Prince Arthur Eze, has reportedly requested the Enugu State Police Command to declare his nephew, Prince Olisa Eze, wanted, just weeks after publicly expressing forgiveness towards him. SaharaReporters had previously covered Arthur’s reconciliation with Prince Olisa and Prince Onyeka, ending a legal dispute over properties allegedly acquired with Arthur’s funds.
In a surprising turn of events, it is claimed that Arthur framed his nephews, accusing them of plotting to assassinate and kidnap him. Allegedly, he urged the police to declare them wanted without providing any supporting evidence. During the Ofala Festival celebration for his brother, Igwe Dr. Robert C. Eze, Arthur invited the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, though no proof of the alleged plot was presented.
The Enugu State Police Command issued a statement urging the public to arrest and deliver Prince Olisa Eze to the nearest police station, based on allegations of conspiracy related to attempted kidnapping and assassination. The statement described Olisa as a 42-year-old native of Ukpo in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, with no known occupation.
It provided details of his appearance and residence, stating that he was last seen in Abuja. SaharaReporters had previously covered Arthur’s reconciliation with Prince Olisa and Prince Onyeka during the 40th memorial service of his late father, HRH, Prince Michael Anekwe Eze.
The service, held at St Mary’s Anglican Church, Oranto, Ukpo, Dunukofia, LGA, Anambra State, witnessed the billionaire ending his feud with his nephews. Previously, Arthur had accused his nephews of fraudulent diversion of funds from his business. Another nephew, Onyeka Eze, had also faced accusations of attempted kidnapping, leading to a magistrate court case that was eventually struck out due to lack of evidence.
